My name is Kendall and I am a sophomore at Florida State University where I am currently studying to be a 5th grade teacher. I am from St. Petersburg, Florida and I love the beach, going on the boat and paddle boarding. I have been working with children my whole life and I decided to be a teacher because of how much I love the kids I interact with every day. Everyone in my family is a teacher so this career choice was very easy for me to choose.

I have used a lot of technology in my schooling because I grew up going to an Apple Certified school. We used iPads in every class and I learned how to type in second grade. In every one of my classes in high school I had some sort of a technological project, including voiceovers, making short movies and youtube videos, and even learning how to code. I have been using a computer and laptop since I was 7 years old so technology in the classroom is something I am very used to.

In this class I want to master the skills that I already have learned. I also am extremely interested in learning new ways to use technology as a means to education. In this class I hope that I will learn how to make an interesting presentation that isn’t just a movie or a powerpoint. I hope that I can take the information I learned in this class and use it in my classroom in the future.
